C. Michael Garner has over 32 years of experience in semiconductor R&D and Manufacturing. He received his PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from Stanford University in 1978. During his 27 year career at Intel, he led several departments in the Technology and Manufacturing Group including Advanced Technology in Components Research, Component Materials Operations, and Materials Technology Operation. Before leaving Intel, he most recently managed Material Roadmaps and led the Emerging Research Materials (ERM) Work Group of ITRS. Since departing from Intel, he has continued to co-chair ITRS ERM, consulted with suppliers on emerging materials and processes, and has been appointed Consulting Professor in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University.
